With approximately 200 players committed to play college hockey, many Tier 3 players remain uncommitted for the 2016-17 season. With an effort to aid in advancement, below is the first in a series of articles highlighting Defensemen (1995's).

Jayson Dahlquist, Marquette Royales
Marquette Defenseman Jayson Dahlquist led the Royales in points through both the regular season and the playoffs. The 5'8 165 pounder logged a combined 17 goals and 38 assists for 55 points, averaging over a point per game. In his second season with Marquette, the Wisconsin native contributed to 37% of the Royales goals. Dahlquist ranks top ten in points among all Tier 3 Defensemen.
Kevin Duncan, Bellingham Blazers
Bellingham Blazers Kevin Duncan logged 10 goals and 40 assists for 50 points on the season, placing him in a four way tie for 4th in points and second overall in Assists for Tier 3 Junior Hockey Defensemen this season. The 5'8 160lb California native earned a point in 22 games with 14 multi point efforts including a season best 5 points on February 6,2016. Duncan played as part of a Bellingham defense that allowed only 77 goals all season, which was the 4th least of all Tier 3 teams.

Peter Guido, Lockport Express
Lockport Express veteran Defenseman Peter Guido averaged .54 points per game this season, contributing to over 13% of the Express goals in games he participated. The 5'11 190lb New York State native also played his 2014-15 campaign with Lockport.
Mark Klasen, Bellingham Blazers
Second in points for Defensemen on the Blazers roster, Mark Klasen logged 11 goals and 28 assists for 39 points through 40 games. Like teammate Kevin Duncan, Klasen played as part of one of the stoutest defenses in Tier 3. The 5'10 195lb California native earned a point in 21 games including 11 multi point efforts.
Tyler Mros, Granite City Lumberjacks
Second in points for Defensemen on the Lumberjacks roster, Tyler Mros logged 7 goals and 18 assists for 25 points this season. A Tier 3 veteran, Mros registered a point in 17 games including 7 multi point efforts and a 6 game point streak spanning from October 3-24, 2015. A native of Minnesota, the 6'2 205 pounder earned a combined +/- of +34 in his two seasons with Granite City.
Alexander Rickoff, LaCrosse Freeze - Committed to Lawrence University
Second year LaCrosse Freeze Defenseman Alexander Rickoff logged 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points while registering a +/- of +11 this season and a combined +13 over a two year span. Finishing the season strong, Rickoff earned a Tier 3 career high 3 points on March 4, 2016 when he logged 2 goals and 1 assist in the Freeze victory over Chicago.
Raymond Rowe, Syracuse Stampede
First in points among Defensemen on the Stampede roster, Raymond Rowe logged 7 goals and 22 assists for 29 points including 2 game winners. In his second season playing at the Tier 3 level, Rowe played his 2014-15 campaign on the Philadelphia Little Flyers roster.
Corey Siwula, West Michigan Wolves
Third in Points for Defenseman across all Tier 3 and leading Defenseman in points on the West Michigan Wolves roster, Corey Siwula logged 17 goals and 35 assists for 52 points. In his second season with the Wolves, the 6'1 185lb Michigan native more than doubled his 2014-15 point production, while earning the 6th most assists among all Tier 3 Defensemen.
Andre Stankevich, Florida Eels
With 18 goals and 32 assists for 50 points, Florida Eels Andre Stankevich finished the 2015-16 regular season in a tie for 4th in points among all Tier 3 Defensemen. The 6'1 195lb native of Russia finished the season on a 12 game point streak, logging a point in each of the Eels ten playoff games. Stankevich averaged over a point per game, including 4 game winners, 21 multi point efforts and a season high 4 points on February 6, 2016 when he registered 2 goals and 2 assists in the Eels victory over the Daytona Racers.
Aaron Wade, Euless Jr Stars
Second in points for Defensemen on the Euless Jr Stars roster, Aaron Wade contributed to over 11% of the Stars season goals. A Tier 3 veteran, Wade played two seasons for the NJ Junior Titans before joining the Stars where he registered statistically the best season of his Tier 3 Junior Hockey career.
Gennadi Zabeline, Gillette Wild
Leading all Defensemen in points on the Gillette Wild roster, Gennadi Zabeline logged 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points through 46 games. In his second season at the Tier 3 level, the 6'1 180lb native of Russia tripled his point total from his 2014-15 campaign on the Cincinnati roster, with points in 24 games including 8 multi point efforts and a season high 4 points on February 5, 2016 when he registered 2 goals and 2 assists in victory over the Helena Bighorns.
