Tier 3 Junior Hockey Teams Turning it around in 2015-16
As we enter week 12 of the 2015-16 Tier 3 Junior Hockey season, there are eight teams coming off losing seasons who have already met or exceeded their 2014-15 win totals.
CT Jr Rangers, USPHL Premier
Two wins ahead of their 2014-15 total, the CT Jr Rangers Premier squad averages 3.05 goals per game while allowing 3.55, yet still holds a winning record.
Hampton Roads Whalers, USP3HL
To date, the Hampton Roads Whalers USP3HL squad has matched their 2014-15 win total in 20 games played. The Whalers earned a season best 11 game win streak from October 2nd to November 13th, losing only one game in the month of October. The Whalers average 3.85 goals per game while allowing 2.20. With 6 shutouts on the season, the Whalers remain one of only 3 Tier 3 teams to earn 6 or more shutouts in 2015-16.
Jr Pirates HC USPHL Elite
The Jr Pirates Hockey Club USP3 squad passed their 2014-15 win total 13 games into the 2015-16 season. The Pirates average 3.94 goals per game while allowing 2.62 goals per game. The Pirates 92.2 pk% ranks 5th across all Tier 3.
Philadelphia Revolution, EHL Premier
With 17 wins through their first 22 games in the 2015-16 season, the Philadelphia Revolution Premier squad has more than doubled their 2014-15 win total,currently sit on top of the Premier South Standings and hold the 5th best record in all Tier 3. With 7, the Revolution currently hold the record for most shutouts across all Tier 3 Junior Hockey (tie) and average 3.45 goals per game while allowing 1.82 goals per game.
St Louis Jr Blues, NA3HL
Currently on a 5 game win streak, the St Louis Jr Blues passed their 2014-15 win total with a 3-2 overtime victory over Cincinnati. On top of the NA3HL Midwest division standings, the Jr Blues currently sit 8 points ahead of the #2 Predators. With 114 goals on the season, the Jr Blues scored the 4th most goals across all Tier 3. Syracuse Stampede, NA3EHL

Yellowstone Quake, NA3HL
The Yellowstone Quake currently sit 2nd in the NA3HL Frontier division standings, 2 points behind the #1 Great Falls Americans. With a +25 goal differential, the Quake average 4 goals per game. With solid performances through 8 games on the road this season, Yellowstone's only road loss came after a shootout with the Gillette Wild on Saturday November 14th.
