There are only two goaltenders in all Tier 3 who have logged more minutes than New York Aviators go-to goalie Stephen Mundinger. A 1995, Mundinger registers 2062 minutes between the pipes for the Aviators this season while earning a 24-8-2-2 record and with 1353 saves, has turned away more shots than all but Blaine Energy Goaltender Blair Sanders (2003 saves) His 24 wins currently ranks 4th and his .936 save percentage ranks 13th across all Tier 3.
At 6'8 210 pounds, Mundinger is in his 2nd season playing at the Tier 3 level and has tripled his win percentage from last season. A native of New York State, Mundinger played as part of the NA3EHL West team that competed in the NA3HL Showcase and through 2 games earned a 1-0-0-1 record, a 1.87 goals against average and a .903 save percent.
Mundinger aided the Aviators in holding the #2 spot in the West Division Standings and securing a playoff berth in the teams first season in the NA3EHL.
