Top 25 Tier 3 Hockey Points Leader Yet to Commit for the 2016-17 Season
**Since the writing of this article, Robert has committed to Colby College, NCAA Division 3 For the 2016-17 Season.
"Saying the season went well is an understatement." says Tier 3 veteran skater Robert Cerepak who found a perfect fit under Krzysztof Oliwa Head Coach for the Kalkaska Rhinos. Cerepak trained for three years with Oliwa both on and off the ice. Prior to this season the two agreed Robert would work to reach the 100 point mark, ultimately finishing with a highly respectable 95 points and completing the regular season as a top 25 points leader across all Tier 3 Junior Hockey.
"Hard work comes natural to him," states Oliwa "Robert definitely has what it takes to play at the NCAA level. His commitment is unbelievable. He developed into a complete player, a leader and the go-to guy. You put him on the ice when you need to close. He's the epitome of a player you want and the kind of player you wish every player was like"
For the first 30 games of the 2015-16 season he led the Rhinos not only as a top point producer but as team Captain. The 5'9 175lb Forward earned 23 goals and 43 assists, averaging 2.2 points per game while in a Rhinos jersey. In an effort to put him in a better spot going into playoffs, both Cerepak and Oliwa agreed that a trade to the Florida Eels would prove beneficial.
Cerepak arrived in Fort Meyers Florida with 6 regular season games left on the Eels schedule, logging 2 goals and 9 assists while contributing to 37% of the Eels goals during that span. Through 10 playoff games, the New Jersey native registered a USP3HL high 18 points, contributing to an incredible 44% of the Eels goals.
"He puts himself among the top in the USA." States Frank Scarpaci Head Coach of the Florida Eels "He is an incredibly gifted forward (with a) high skill set and high hockey IQ. Knows what to do and why we do some things. He has an insatiable appetite to score. He drives to the net with passion and heart. Never quits no matter what the odds. Battles hard on the boards and in front of the net. Very good in all three zones. Has an incredibly accurate wrist shot and a lethal wrist shot."
"All in all, I have to give the most credit to Coach Oliwa and Coach Scarpaci for developing me into the player I am on and off the ice." says Robert " I could not thank them enough for all they have done. "
Cerepak has yet to commit to college for the 2016-17 season. Both Coach Oliwa and Coach Scarpaci spoke of Robert's leadership qualities on and off the ice and Scarpaci went on to say that he's "No doubt our best forward since he came over to the Eels. He is in my opinion the only true Division 1 player in the USPHL Elite division"

From an academic standpoint, Roberts performance in the classroom mirrors his work on the ice. "He is an exceptionally bright young man who posts a very strong GPA and ACT SAT scores." adds Scarpaci "His grades were realized from 4 years at a top academic Prep School Lawrenceville and 1 year Post Grad at Gunnery. Grades from those schools are worth their weight in gold. Really no gifts."
