The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings Return some of Tier 3's Top Point Producers
Harrison Kohl, Kevin Van Bokkelen and Reed Kaiser Among Top Returners
The 2015-16 Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings squad found the net 239 times. A goal count good enough to earn them an overall Tier 3 ranking of 14th out of 165 teams. With only five players from last years team aging out of Junior Hockey, the Riverkings are returning a number of Tier 3's top point producers.
Harrison Kohl, Defense
Harrison Kohl finished his first season playing at the Tier 3 level with 10 goals and 41 assists for 51 points, leading the team in points for Defensemen through 2015-16. The 5'9 160lb Illinois native attracted attention from the staff of the NAHL's Janesville Jets and was the last Dman to be cut by the Jets for the 2016-17 season.
Kevin Van Bokkelen, Forward
Kevin Van Bokkelen led the Riverkings in points and goals scored through his first season playing Junior Hockey. The 6'1 175lb Ohio native earned a point in 33 of 48 games with 20 multi point efforts, including a hat trick on December 11, 2015 in a game he logged a season high 5 points.
Reed Kaiser, Forward
Fourth in points on the Riverkings 2015-16 roster, Reed Kaiser earned 27 goals and 34 assists for 61 points. The 5'10 160lb Wyoming native is entering his 5th season at the Tier 3 level, playing 2 seasons with the Billings Bulls and a season with the Yellowstone Quake before joining the Riverkings last season.
Also returning is Forward Ryan Mantz (5'11 175lb, Wi) who will join both Kaiser and Van Bokkelen on a line that Head Coach Marty Quarters says may prove to be one of the top lines in the league. Austyn Quarters, Tyler Albitz and Adam Peterson who played consistent hockey as a line in last years playoffs also return.
