Uncommitted 96 | Philadelphia Jr Flyers Goaltender Mac Vail
The Uncommitted 1996 series continues, focusing on players aging out of Junior Hockey who have yet to commit to a University or advanced to a higher level of hockey for the 2017-18 season.
Tier 3 veteran Goaltender Mac Vail began his Junior Hockey career in 2013 with the Jersey Wildcats, followed by a season with the New York Applecore. In 2015, Vail joined the CT Oilers of the Eastern Hockey League where he played until early November of 2016 when he transferred to the Philadelphia Jr Flyers. A move that has him on pace for his best season yet.
At 6'6 210lb, Vail currently holds a 13-2-1 record with the Flyers, registering a 1.59 gaa and .933 sv% including a shutout on February 18, 2017 when he turned away all 30 shots faced in a 1-0 victory over the Boston Jr Rangers. On a 10 game win streak, the New York State native ranks statistically top 15 in GAA and top 25 in Save Percent among all Tier 3 Goalies since joining the Jr Flyers.*
