In his fourth season developing at the Tier 3 Junior Hockey level, Long Beach Sharks Goaltender Kyle Van Wagner finished his final regular season with a 27-8-0 record. The 27 wins marked the most by any Tier 3 Goalie this season.
A New York State native, Van Wagner began his Tier 3 career in 2013 with the Brewster Bulldogs and would go on to play a season with the Philadelphia Jr Flyers and the Syracuse Stampede before joining the Sharks for the 2016-17 season.
Van Wagner finished the 2016-17 regular season on a 5 game win streak, closing out the season with his second shutout while turning away all 42 shots in the Sharks victory over the East Coast Minutemen.
