Tier 3 Junior Hockey Players Taken in the 2017 NCDC Entry Draft
The National Collegiate Development Conference held their Entry Draft for the 2017-18 season and six former Tier 3 Junior Hockey players made the list.
Mario Tropea, F, 1997 taken by the PAL Jr Islanders
Mario Tropea played his 2016-17 season with the Philadelphia Flyers Premier squad, registering 8 goals and 18 assists for 26 points through 44 regular season games
Cody Murch, G, 1997 taken by the New Jersey Rockets
Cody Murch began his Junior Hockey career back in the 2013-14 season with the Islanders, played his 2014-15 campaign with the South Shore Kings, his 2015-16 campaign in the WSHL and returned to the east coast to play his 2016-17 season with the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (EHL) where he earned a Tier 3 Junior Hockey Top 14 ranked 1.60 GAA.
Zikmund Mroz, D, 1998 taken by the Rochester Monarchs
Zikmund Mroz played his 2016-17 season with the Philadelphia Little Flyers (EHL) and is currently slated to return to his home country of the Czech Republic to play hockey for the 2017-18 season.
Brendan Ferguson, F, 1997 taken by the PAL Jr Islanders
After two seasons with the Atlanta Jr Knights, Forward Brendan Ferguson played his 2016-17 campaign with the Philadelphia Flyers Premier Squad.
Michael Krupinski, D, 2000 taken by the PAL Jr Islanders
Texas Defenseman Michael Krupinski is the youngest of the Tier 3 players taken in the draft. Krupinski played the majoirty of his 2016-17 campaign with the Richmond Generals USP3HL squad where he registered 32 points through 42 games.
Thomas Rocco, F, 1999 taken by the PAL Jr Islanders
Thomas Rocco registered 58 points through 43 games with the Richmond Generals USP3HL squad through the 2016-17 season.
