"Clarky has been great this season; last year when he played for me he needed time to develop and time to learn the game," said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He had a tremendous off-season and came in this season with two goals, to be part of a competitive team in the EHL and to commit to college hockey. He has really improved his game and I think he is going to be a tough guy to play against in the SUNYAC next season. He is not only a good hockey player, he is an even better young man. I am very excited for Clarky and excited for Postsdam. He will be missed and I wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future.”
Clark is set to join Ben Thompson, who also made his commitment to the Bears for the Fall of 2018. For the native of Pennsylvania it's nice knowing a familiar face when you enter a new environment, and Clark took some time to thank those that have helped him along the way.
“I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me throughout my hockey career so far," said Clark. "I would also like to thank Coach Cerrella for preparing me for college hockey over the past two years and allowing me to grow as a player. Thanks to Mario Martinello and the Jr. Avalanche for giving me all the resources needed to improve as a player and as a person. I cannot wait to build on the success Potsdam has had this season, GO BEARS!”
