The NAHL approves the activation of a Northeast Generals Tier 2 team for the 2016-17 season. The Generals Tier 3 squad will continue play as well.

New York Aviators Goaltender Stephen Mundinger earns NA3EHL Goaltender of the Year award. Mundinger committed to the University of Maine, becoming the first NA3EHL player to make a D1 commit.
