WARMINSTER, PA -- While the 2015-16 season ended sooner then they had hoped, this past year was a big step forward for the Philadelphia Revolution. The Revolution began the season with high hopes, as former NHL captain Keith Primeau took over behind the bench. Primeau brought with him the experience of over 900 games in the NHL, and the Revolution thrived under his leadership.
The Revolution began the season playing relatively inconsistent hockey, as they found themselves hovering around .500 at the conclusion of the Columbus Day Showcase. It was following that weekend in New Hampshire however, that the Revolution took off on a stretch where they won 11 games in a row. They were the best team in the EHL at the time, and six of those wins were shutout victories. As many seasons go, there are ups and downs, and following the record winning streak the Revolution battled through an up and down final stretch of the season, ultimately clinching the #4 seed in the South Conference. The Revolution went on to knock off the New York Bobcats in the first round of the playoffs, and then were eliminated by the Philadelphia Little Flyers in the Quarterfinals. While the season ended earlier then they had hoped, a combined record of 28-14-3 (regular season and playoffs), can be labeled as a successful season in the ever-challenging South Conference. Shifting focus towards a clean slate this Fall, the Revolution will have a new boss behind the bench as Jon Rogger brings with him years of experience from the USHL and the NAHL. The EHL would like to congratulate all of the Revolution players that made their NCAA Commitments this past season.
