In three seasons the Bellingham Blazers have done more than many tier 3 teams do in a lifetime. Entering their fourth season in the Northern Pacific Hockey League, the Blazers have two NPHL Cascade Cup Championships and two National Tournament appearances under their belt.
A dominant force right out of the gate, the Blazers finished their inaugural 2012-13 campaign in third place in the NPHL regular season standings. Finishing that season strong, the Blazers won 9 out of their final 10 games with their only loss coming in a shootout against the Eugene Generals. They carried the momentum into the playoffs and went on to win the Cascade Cup and a National Tournament spot in their first year. The following season the Blazers finished first in the regular season standings with a 35-5-0-0 record, finishing the season on a league high 21 game win streak. Bellingham did not lose a regular season game after November 29th that year, won 7 of 8 playoff games and earned themselves a second Cascade Cup and National Tournament appearance. In spite of a solid 2014-15 campaign, the Blazers finished second in the NPHL standings, missing out on their third opportunity at Junior Nationals after losing to the West Sound Warriors in the playoffs.
Through three seasons Bellingham has compiled a 90-28-1-3 regular season record (.738)
There is still time to become a Blazer - Tryouts are set for August 7-10 in Bellingham Washington
