Over 200 players came from over 30 countries on 4 continents to play Tier 3 Junior Hockey in the 2015-16 season. The Tier 3 Junior Hockey Around the Globe series continues by highlighting players from Switzerland. There are currently 12 players on active rosters playing Tier 3 hockey.
Marvin Alena, D, 1996, Okanagan European Eagles
Zurich native Marvin Alena earned 3 goals and 1 assist through his first 20 games for the European Eagles in his first season playing Tier 3 Hockey in the United States. The 6'0 198lb Defenseman played his 2014-15 campaign playing U20 in Austria. Flavio Cola, F, 1995, East Coast Wizards In his first season playing at the Tier 3 level, Swiss Forward Flavio Cola logged 9 goals and 10 assists through his first 31 games. Dominik Devaja, F, 1995, Ct Jr Rangers Dominik Devaja logged 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points through his first 20 games playing Tier 3 with the Connecticut Junior Rangers, with points in 8 contests including 3 multi point efforts and a season best 3 points on December 12, 2015. Gregory Felder, D, 1995, East Coast Wizards To date, Gregory Felder assisted on 7 goals this season as part of the Wizards roster. A 1995, Felder played his four previous seasons in Elite Junior A in Europe. Joshua Staenz, F, 1995, Tampa Bay Juniors/Jersey Hitmen Joshua Staenz played 21 games on the Tampa Bay Juniors roster before moving to the Jersey Hitmen Elite squad after the Winter break.
