Forest Lake Lakers Anton Minaev Earns 4th Hat Trick in Last 5 Games
February 7, 2016
Russian Forward Anton Minaev began the 2015-16 season on a ten game point streak and has logged 39 goals and 36 assists through 43 games for the Forest Lake Lakers. With points in 35 games this season including 22 multi point efforts, the 5'8 170lb skater ranks top ten across all Tier 3.
Whats even more amazing, Minaev earned his 4th hat trick in 5 games in the Lakers 11-2 victory over the Blaine Energy. Minaev registered his first hat trick of the season on January 29th, scoring a goal in each period as the Lakers defeated the Decatur Blaze 9-1. The following evening was a repeat performance for Minaev, a goal in each period resulting in a 9-1 victory for the Lakers, this time over the St Croix Valley Magicians. In two games against the Blaine Energy on February 6th and 7th, Minaev logged two more hat tricks, including a natural on Saturday night.
The Forest Lake Lakers are currently in 3rd place in a highly competitive USPHL Midwest Western Conference, just 2 points behind the #2 Dells Ducks and 7 points out of first. With five games left in the regular season, Minaev and the Lakers are making a strong push as we close in on the playoffs.
