Tier 3 Junior Hockey Alumni Watch - Ohio University Bobcats
The 2015-16 Ohio University Bobcats Men's Hockey ACHA Division 1 program, under the direction of Head Coach Sean Hogan, rosters 13 players who previously played Tier 3 Junior Hockey.
Cody Black, a 5'7 165lb Freshman Forward played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Vengeance of the NA3HL from 2013-15. Through a combined 93 regular season games, Black logged 41 goals and 53 assists, including 8 game winners for the Vengeance.
Drew Crandall, a 6'0 172lb Sophomore Forward played two games for the Northern Cyclones before transferring to the Washington Jr Nationals, both of the Eastern Hockey League. Through a combined 31 games in his 2013-14 season in the EHL, Crandall earned 13 points.
Matthew Hartman, a 5'8 165lb Junior Forward played his 2012-13 campaign with the Philadelphia Revolution of the EJHL, earning 7 points.
Grant Hazel, a 6'2 225lb Freshman Defenseman played two seasons for the Connecticut Oilers of the EHL. From 2013-15, Hazel played 76 games for the Oilers, earning 13 goals and 18 assists.
Ryan Heltion, a 5'10 180lb Junior Goaltender played a combined 29 games for both the Richmond Generals and the New Jersey Renegades of the MetJHL from 2011-13.
Michael Lafrenier, a 5'10 190lb Junior Defenseman played for both the New England Jr Huskies and the New York Apple Core of the former Eastern Junior Hockey League. Through a combined 67 games in the EJHL from 2011-13, Lafrenier logged 8 goals and 22 assists.
Gabe Lampron, a 6'0 195lb Freshman Forward logged 12 goals and 9 assists through 33 games for the Hartford Jr Wolfpack of the EHL last season.
Vincent Nicolella, a 5'10 180lb Senior Forward played two seasons for the Philadelphia Jr Flyers of the AtJHL from 2010-12. The Pennsylvania native earned 25 points while on the Flyers roster.
Mike Palasics, a 5'10 175lb Sophomore Forward played on the Cleveland Lumberjacks (NA3HL) roster from 2012-14. Through 89 regular season games with the Lumberjacks, Palasics logged 24 goals and 44 assists.
Tyler Pecka, a 5'10 180lb Senior Defenseman played 41 games for the Dells Ducks while they were part of the former MnJHL.
Tom Pokorney, a 6'3 205lb Freshman Defenseman played on the Bay State Breakers (USPHL) roster last season. Pokorney began on the Elite squad and quickly advanced to the Breakers Premier team.
Derek Rahme, a 6'0 165lb Senior Forward played 75 games for the Rochester Ice Hawks while they were part of the former MnJHL from 2010-12, earning 15 goals and 28 assists.
Adam Steranko, a Junior Forward played on the Pittsburgh Jr Penguins of the NA3HL roster from 2011-12, earning 8 goals and 7 assists.
