Wolves Tie Tier 3 Best Win % Record
The Wenatchee Wolves finished the 2015-16 season with a 39-1-0 record. Their .975 win percent not only led all teams this season, but tied the Tier 3 Junior Hockey regular season record set through the 2014-15 season by the Jersey Shore Wildcats (NA3EHL). The teams lone loss came Thursday December 10, 2015 when the Eugene Generals defeated the Wolves 2-1 in a game where Christopher Pritchard turned away 51 of 52 shots faced.
The Wolves logged 263 goals, placing them 5th among all teams while averaging 6.6 goals per game and rostering a team where each player, including both goaltenders earned a point. Defensively the Wolves allowed the least number of goals with 49 (1.2 gapg), earning 11 shutouts on the season including back to back shutouts multiple times. With a 92.4% penalty kill, the Wolves placed themselves again in the Tier 3 record books (4th).
Wenatchee rosters goaltender Bronson Moore, 1997, who finished the season an undefeated 20-0 between the pipes for the Wolves. Moore's 0.95gaa is currently the best among all Tier 3 Goaltenders and set a new Tier 3 Junior Hockey record. His .950 save percent and 7 shutouts also ranked top 5 both this season and in the Tier 3 record books.
Playoffs begin March 12th as the Wolves take on the Tri Cities Outlaws.
