Tier 3 Alumni Watch - Stony Brook Seawolves
The 2015-16 Stony Brook University Seawolves roster currently holds 22 former Tier 3 Junior Hockey players. For the first time in team history, the Seawolves, who were the 2013/2014/2015 ESCHL Champions are ranked #1 in ACHA Division 1.
,Nick Alexander a Freshman Forward played 35 games for New York Apple Core of the Eastern Hockey League during the 2013-14 season.
Joseph Bochichio, a Junior Forward who previously played for the NY Bobcats (AJHL), logged 13 goals and 15 assists last season for the Seawolves.
Brian Boser, a Junior Forward played his 2012-13 campaign for the New York Bobcats (AJHL)
Brendan Calello, a Sophomore Forward who played his 2013-14 campaign with the New Jersey Hitmen of the USPHL Elite Division. Calello also played for the Hitmen in 2011-12 and the Jersey Wildcats from 2010-11.
Michael Cartwright, a Junior Defenseman who previously played for the Long Island Royals (MJHL), played 23 games last season for the Seawolves.
Frank Coscia, a Freshman Defenseman played two seasons with the NJ Rockets (EHL) from 2012-14 where he logged 14 goals and 38 assists through 81 games.
Matt Crockett, a Freshman Forward who played two seasons for the PAL Junior Islanders of the USPHL Premier Division from 2013-15, as well as the New York Bobcats (EHL) from 2011-12 and the Long Island Royals (Met) from 2010-11.
Joe DiTizio, a Senior Defenseman who previously played for the CD Selects -EJHL
Tim Ehlberg, a Freshman Forward who played 40 games in the 2014-15 season for the Metro Moose (MJHL) where he logged 10 goals and 11 assists. Ehlberg also played for the New York Aviators during their 2013-14 season with the USPHL Empire Division.
Mathew Gervasi, a Senior Forward who played for the New Jersey Rockets (AJHL), played 26 games for the Seawolves last season.
Ryan Gullett, a Freshman Forward who played two seasons of Tier 3 hockey with the Hampton Roads Whalers (USPHL Elite) from 2012-14.
JT Hall, a Junior Forward who previously played for the Long Island Royals (MJHL), played 30 games for the Seawolves last season, earning 8 goals and 38 assists.
Tyler Huberty, a Freshman Goaltender who played 19 games for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Knights (EHL) through his 2014-15 campaign, earning a 3.43 gaa and a .902 save percentage. Huberty also played for the Glacier Nationals in 2012-13 and the Philadelphia Flyers from 2011-12.
Alex Miller, a Junior Defenseman who previously played for the Portland Junior Pirates (EJHL) played 33 games for Stony Brook last season.
Casey O'Leary, a Freshman Forward played two seasons for the PAL Junior Islanders (USPHL Empire) from 2013-15 earning 35 goals and 36 assists through 80 regular season games.
Xavier Patterson, a Sophomore Defenseman who previously played for the New England Wolves (EHL), played 7 games for the Seawolves through the 2014-15 season.
Nate Richards, a Freshman Defenseman played his 2014-15 campaign with the Hampton Roads Whalers (USPHL Elite) as well as the Philadelphia Little Flyers (EHL) and the Flint Jr Generals (NA3HL) from 2013-14.
Todd Scarola, a Junior Goaltender previously played for the Suffolk PAL (MJHL).
Frank Sherding, a Sophomore Defenseman who played for the NYApplecore (EHL). Sherding logged 16 points for the Seawolves last season.
Chris Stemke, a Sophomore Forward played his 2013-14 campaign with the PAL Junior Islanders (USPHL Empire) where he earned 21 goals and 21 assists through 24 games.
Derek Willms, a Senior Goaltender who previously played for the Atlanta Knights (EJHL).
Chris Zaverdas, a Senior Defenseman who played Tier 3 Junior Hockey for the Long Island Royals (MJHL), played one game for the Seawolves last season.
