Tier 3 Junior Hockey Alumni Watch: Bryn Athyn Athletics
The 2015-16 Bryn Athyn Athletics Men's Hockey season begins October 9th against #15 PSU Brandywine. Their 2014-15 regular season campaign had them at the top of the Atlantic Division with 47 points and a 23-2-1-0 record. From there they went on to a 7-6 overtime loss in the ACHA National Championship Semi Finals to the eventual winner - Michigan State. That 2014-15 team rostered 11 players who developed in the Tier 3 Junior Hockey ranks. With the addition of freshman from Tier 3 Hockey, the Bryn Athyn 2015-16 roster boasts 21 Tier 3 alumni from 12 teams.
Anthony Astorino, a sophomore defenseman who played for the Hartford Jr Wolfpack (MJHL) returns to defend the blue line for Bryn Athyn.
Craig Boyd, a freshman forward from the Hampton Road Whalers - USPHL–Elite. Boyd logged 11 goals and 12 assists for the Whalers in the 2014-15 season.
Ryan Conery, a freshman forward from the Tampa Bay Juniors USPHL–Elite. Conery netted 5 goals and 5 assists in his 2014-15 campaign with Tampa Bay.
Vincent Conti of the Palm Beach Hawks USPHL- EMPIRE
Devyn Dworsky, a freshman forward from the Portland Jr Pirates USPHL–ELITE. In 45 games last season for the Pirates, Dworsky logged 3 goals and 12 assists.
Chris Ebersole, a freshman forward from the Palm Beach Hawks USPHL–ELITE. Ebersole netted 15 goals as well as 24 assists in the 2014-15 seasom for the Hawks
Sean Feyler, a junior defenseman who played for Walpole Express MJHL
Aron Jackson, a freshman defenseman who played for the Frederick Freeze (USPHL–Empire). Jackson played two seasons with the Freeze, earning 19 points last season.
Kyle Jennings, a sophomore forward from the Philadelphia Revolution (EHL)
Nikita Klinisovs, an incoming freshman forward from the Atlanta Jr. Knights USPHL–ELITE. Klinisovs logged 9 goals and 14 assists through 40 regular season games last year for the Knights.
Graham Lermitte, a senior goaltender from the Valley Forge Minutemen of the MJHL returns for his final season with Bryn Athyn.
Jayson Marbach, a junior forward who previously played on the Philadelphia Junior Flyers (AJHL). Marbach scored a goal in the ACHA National Championship Semi Final loss.
Billy Martin, a sophomore forward who previously played on the Laconia Leafs (AJHL).
Travis McCurdy, a forward who played for the Philadelphia Junior Flyers (AJHL)
Cullen McNally, an incoming defenseman who played on the Philadelphia Little Flyers roster (MJHL). McNally netted 22 goals in the 2014-15 regular season, which was a season best for the MJHL for defensemen as well as placed him in the top 5 for all of tier 3 hockey.
Paul Napierkowski, a sophomore defenseman from the Philadelphia Little Flyers MJHL. Napierkowski scored a goal in the 2015 ACHA National Championship Semi Final loss.
Anthony Notofrancesco, a sophomore forward from the Philadelphia Little Flyers (MJHL)
Justin Nugent, a sophomore forward who played for the Philadelphia Little Flyers (MJHL). Nugent earned both a goal and an assist in the ACHA National Championship Semi Final loss.
Landon Trutt, an incoming freshman goaltender from the Tri-City Ice Hawks (MNJHL). Trutt earned a 2.87gaa with the Ice Hawks as well as a .903 save percentage.
Scott Witmyer, a Junior forward who previously played for the Philadelphia Revolution (EJHL). Witmyer logged a hat trick and an assist in the 2014-15 ACHA National Championship semi finals game.
Zach Zadjeika, a sophomore defenseman who previously played with the Tampa Bay Juniors (USPHL).
