Chicago Cougars 2015 Press Release
The Chicago Cougars are excited to announce Brad Stoffers as Head Coach/GM. Stoffers comes to the Cougars by way of the Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Prior to joining the Jr. Blues, Stoffers was an Asst. Coach at NCAA Div. I RPI, and Assistant Director of the Nashville Jr. Predators Youth Tier 1 organization. Stoffers has also coached various High School, Prep School, and Youth teams during his 9 year coaching career.
The skill-driven, player's coach, earned his Master's degree in Education from Boston University's prestigious and unique Coach Education Program in 2010. When time allows Stoffers has enjoyed working as Evaluator, Coach, & Team Leader for various USA Hockey regional and national player development camps and coach education programs over the course of his career being recognized as a USA Hockey Level 4 Coach.
As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Stoffers is a tremendous asset to the Cougars program off the ice with Strength and Conditioning and athletic development. In his short career in Strength and Conditioning, he amassed an extremely reputable resume working in the weight room for Miami University, Boston University, Anaheim Ducks (NHL), Trenton Titans (ECHL), Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, and Velocity Sports Performance concurrently with his hockey coaching career.
